Listingbook’s Ira Luntz talks about real estate’s “new Web landscape”
Listingbook Executive Vice President Ira Luntz delivers views on the new Web landscape for real estate in a Q&A with Inman News.
The Q&A is a part the Roadmap to Recovery editorial project by Inman, which focuses on rebuilding the industry in the aftermath of the financial crisis. With the housing market in turmoil, a road map to recovery is sorely needed. The goal of the project is to figure out which direction we need to turn.
In response to a question about how the industry will be different in the aftermath of the current downtown, Ira says:
Since the onset of the Internet, for the very first time, we have a unique intersection of significantly different market dynamics, access to real estate data — both real-time and historical (thank you, U.S. Department of Justice) — and an Internet-enabled, savvy consumer. More than ever the “Web survivors” will need to focus right now on providing a Web presence that is totally consumer-centric and focused on solutions, not just data.
Ira Luntz joined Listingbook in May 2007 and is responsible for ensuring the smooth installation and implementation of Listingbook technology with various MLSs nationwide. He has spent more than 25 years in the industry and is nationally recognized as an expert in the field of real estate information systems.
